Tyr
Major Power - Lawful Good

God of Justice
Holy Symbol: Golden Scales of Justice supported by a Warhammer

History: When the dwarves finally forged a cord that could bind the Fenris Wolf, the monster would only let it be put on him if one of the gods would place his hand in the Wolf's mouth. Tyr agreed, knowing the likely outcome. When the Wolf realized it could not break the cord, it bit off Tyr's hand.

Other Clerics of Tyr have been reported to exist in other IFGS Chapters, but we currently have no first hand knowledge of them. These other sects to the worship of Tyr may emphasize Tyr's dominion over Law and/or War moreso than Justice.

As god of Justice and Law, Tyr is not fond of thieves. A major Temple to Tyr is located in Rivertown. Several years ago, its High Priest, Pious, arranged for a band of adventurers to oppose the Bold Marauder and the lich Zanthakos when they planned to attack Rivertown. The adventurers destroyed Zanthakos and thwarted the attack on Rivertown, but the Bold Marauder escaped.

Thorus has been constructing a smaller temple to Tyr in the realm of DeChance. However, Thorus' many adventures have delayed its completion. At the current rate of construction, it could be several years until it is done.
