Election Policy

For those of you who wish to run for the board for a two year term, the instruction set is listed below.

  1. To be placed on the ballot (nominated) for the board of the Atlanta Chapter you must turn in to the election committee a Petition for Candidacy by October _A_, 2002. Those petitions that are mailed must be postmarked by October _A_, 2002 and received no later than October _B_, 2002. This petition must be signed by at least five current Atlanta/Society Members. By the constitution of the Atlanta chapter "the Election Committee may also nominate one (1) or more qualified candidates for each open position."
  2. If you wish to place a position statement of up to 200 words on the ballot it must be turned in to the election committee and meet the same deadline as the Petition for Candidacy.
  3. You must be 18 years or older and be a current Society and Atlanta Chapter Member by October _A_, 2002 to be eligible to run for a board position. If your Atlanta/Society membership expires between October _A_, 2002 and the announcement of the election winners and you do not renew within two weeks (postmarked) you will be removed as a candidate and all votes for you forfeited.
  4. Mail the petitions and position statements to:
