Welcome!

Welcome to the Atlanta Chapter of the International Fantasy Gaming Society!

We are a local chapter of an organization whose purpose is to allow members to have fun and adventure safely through the games of Live (action) Role Playing Games. The broad theme of our games is medieval fantasy, much like the games Dungeons and Dragons (by TSR/WOTC) and the stories of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein. However, while the events of a "table-top" game or even a book can be exciting, it is not nearly as exhilarating as being locked in melee combat with a few of your companions against the powers of evil: undead beasts, demons from foul planes and even dragons! Heck, we'll throw in a really bad city mayor every now and then to keep things a bit normal.

But safety is very important. For weapons we use shaped (closed-cell) foam to cover fiberglass rods. This is then covered with cloth to add to the appearance and less the wear on the foam. And at each game is a Safety Officer to help prevent accidents and tend to any that rarely ever occur.

That being said, why don't you come to a game? You will meet other fine gents and lasses from around the Atlanta metro area (and much farther) who love to pick up a sword and become famous in tales of heroics and adventure. You can find mounds of information of upcoming games in the Calendar of Events!

If there was anything more that you would like to know, feel free to browse the website, but until we are finished with our e-renovations, I would also direct you to the Society's website. There are many pages chock full of information. But if you have a questions for us, feel free to send us an email or contact one of the many chapter directors and officers.

"Put down those dice... and pick up that sword!"
