Applying a Coloring Agent in a Fashion That Does Not Preclude Self Extraction or Inclusion With Larger Group Gunctions
by Sid Pogue
I’ve seen it happen several times over the years. A new player creates an interesting character, challenging to play, and can’t get on a team to save his life. Why? Well, the character is evil, cowardly, and steals from the team. What an older player can get away with, and what a new player can are, unfortunately, two different things. WHY? Because one has a reputation of being a team player, never steals from the party, and people know that his cowardly character will find a way to help the team while being a coward, even if he has to kill the big bad guy to do it. Establish YOUR reputation FIRST. Then you can run any type character you want. But, remember this, an evil character will have fewer playing opportunities in IFGS. It’s the way the game is set up; an evil character has less of a reason to do anything that’s written in IFGS, with the exception of a straight mercenary type game, and those aren’t all that common. So, unless you can find some motivation for your cowardly, evil thief to do the right thing, maybe you should keep him in reserve for a later day.
