GAME STATUS
Some of these status types are optional. Not
all games need to go through all of the status types. All games
should go through: Sanctioned, Sanctioned-with-Changes, and
Intent.
A game may go through these status types:
This game is ready to run with no further
changes.
A game must be sanctioned two weeks prior to
the run-date. Games are sanctioned for one year or one running,
which ever comes sooner. To run a game a second time (or later
time) the producer must bring the game before the subcommittee
again to review any changes or modifications that may need to be
made. A game submitted for additional runnings must meet all
sanctioning requirements as if the game was reaching the
"sanctioned-with-changes" status on the new submittal
date.
In reviewing a game for resanctioning a
subcommittee may request a copy of the Post Mortum report to see
where there were problems in the last running of the game.
In Appendix A, there is a Sanctioned Game
Checklist. The checklists shows those items required for
Sanctioned Status as well as items that are suggested, but not
required.
This game could probably be run in this form,
however the subcommittee has required changes, which if made to
the satisfaction of the subcommittee and produce no additional
problems, will cause the game to be sanctioned. Game ratings
should be finally settled; game size settled; and a proposed game
flyer included. A complete title page should be included with the
game.
In Appendix A, there is a
Sanctioned-With-Changes Checklist. The checklist shows those
items required for Sanctioned-With-Changes Status as well as
items that are suggested, but not required.
This game will eventually be sanctioned in the
same form. There are problems with the game, but the subcommittee
feels the game is on its way to be sanctioned in its present
form. Treasure should be completed, savvies and lores provided, a
treasure/gold breakdown in the end of game with item numbers for
all recoverable magic and non-magic items, value of each item,
all listed by encounter; the type of game settled; game size
decided; game ratings decided.
Once a game gets this status, a date on the
calender to run the game may be assigned. Until sanctioned with
intent status is reached, calender dates may not be assigned, nor
a draft held.
In Appendix A, there is a Intent
Checklist. The checklist shows those items required for Intent
Status as well as items that are suggested, but not required.
A full submission, yet not at intent. This
game has its basic treasure layout with savvies and lores, all
detects, npc information complete, a game budget, an npc/staff
breakdown, treasure value list, complete encounter information
including encounter length and intent of encounter.
In Appendix A, there is a Full Checklist.
The checklist shows those items required for Full Status as well
as items that are suggested, but not required.
A game more than a storyline but less than
full submission. Encounters will be fleshed out, some treasure
decided, NPC information determined. All detects, savvies and
lores are not needed for Active status.
In Appendix A, there is a Active
Checklist. The checklist shows those items required for Active
Status as well as items that are suggested, but not required.
This game has a storyline of what is expected
to occur in the game. It should also have a basic title page with
the information on what the GW hopes the game will end up as. The
title page should include address or telephone number of the GW.
In Appendix A, there is a Storyline
Checklist. The checklist shows those items required for Storyline
Status as well as items that are suggested, but not required.
An inactive game is a game that has not had a
new submission from the GW in three months. (and this is caused
by the GW). A game may also go inactive at the GW's request. A
game that has been at storyline status for six months will also
become inactive.
If a game has been only recently received its
subcommittee, and that subcommittee has not communicated a game
status to the sanctioning chair, vice-chair or secretary, then
the game will have the status: New. The New status is also the
status given to games submitted for sanctioning, but without a
subcommittee assigned. Games without a subcommittee will remain
at New status until they get a subcommittee. Games with an
assigned subcommittee will revert to Story status unless the
subcommittee communicates otherwise.
